In recent years, there has been an increase in studies into the craniometrics of Hispanic populations. This study will metrically examine craniometric features, focusing on the nasal aperture, of the Hispanic population in comparison to Black and European populations. The goal of this study is to determine an identifying range of measurements for the nasal aperture of Hispanics as an admixture population in comparison to Black and European reference populations. The methodology of this study will be to collect data from 30 crania of each sample population and then gather reference measurements of the crania that can impact specialized measurements of the nasal aperture. Second, this study will implement a new method of measurement by bilaterally measuring the lower curve to the nasomaxillary suture of all population samples, specifically the left side.  For Hispanic populations specifically, if a nasal overgrowth is present, the bilateral measurement will stem from the apex of the lower curve to the overgrowth. The results of this study will demonstrate an identifiable range of measurement for the Hispanic population that will aid forensic investigators.
